_______ Smaller than alternatives further north, Holiday Valley has limited vertical but makes up for it with a wide variety of runs including numerous glades, highly-developed lift and lodge infrastructure, night skiing on 2/3 of the terrain, and the benefit of lake effect snow from Lake Erie. The Wingate is 1.5 miles from the resort and situated on Ellicottville’s historic main street among many restaurants, shops, and bars that make up one of the only true ‘ski towns’ on the East coast.
